Available for adoption in Texas only... Sheba is now about a year old. She has now been in rescue since March. Great with my pack, both male and female. Can be a bit of a bully though if allowed to be. Is a bone and toy hoarder. My pack shares nicely with her, but that could be a problem if other dogs don't. Very playful. Potty trained, but does occasionally have accidents if left in her crate for too long. Absolutely loves to play fetch with her tennis ball and Frisbee. ****Photos to be added soon**** Please text for immediate photos of Curly. Curly is a Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix that came to HTS from a military kill shelter. His owners chose not to claim him more than likely because of breed restrictions in military housing. Upon intake Curly tested positive for heartworms and was found to be neutered. After being pulled by HTS Curly was completely vetted and began his heartworm treatments. In May of 2015, 8 months after his final treatment he tested negative for heartworms and became available for adoption. He is currently on heartworm preventative (Trifexis). Curly has not spent time with male ... (Read More)dogs in the rescue. His best friend is Jillie who is a smaller terrier mix. They get along extremely well. Curly is a snuggler, likes to chase sticks and balls. He wants to be next to you at all times and to sleep right next to you in bed. He is crate trained and compeltely housebroken. Curly will need a HIGH energy home. He has been introduced to small children but is like a bull in a china shop because of his energy level. We would recommend no young children for the home he is adopted into. Potential adopters must fill out an adoption application, provide verifiable vet references and agree to a home visit.
